Beyond the Sweet and Salty with Brent's Firey Beer Brittle

While watching "Unwrapped" on The Food Network the other evening, I was delighted to see them feature Brent's Beer Brittle, a tasty confection from Anette's Chocolates in Napa Valley. Anette's built a reputation making delicious artisan chocolates, carrying on a 50 year Napa Valley tradition. Anette has been making a marvelous assortment of fabulous Truffles, Fudges, Creams, and many other confectionery wonders, along with her brother Brent, since the company started. It's Brent's masterpiece that was the featured Beer Brittle on "Unwrapped," available in both regular flavor and a Firey Hot version.

So why was I so delighted to see Brent's Beer Brittle on The Food Network? Because it's really tasty for one, but also because Allyson's Kitchen has been a proud retailer of Anette's Chocolates and Brent's Beer Brittle for years now, and every one of our employees has sampled and fallen in love with these delicious confections. Brent's Beer Brittle is a unique take on the old family brittle recipe, and the Firey Beer Brittle in particular is a creative rendition of an old classic that defined the "Sweet & Salty" flavor combination that is one of today's popular gourmet trends.

Made with All-Natural Ingredients including Spanish Peanuts and Micro-Brew Ale, this beer brittle is a feel-good snack. The Firey Beer Brittle features the heat of Chili de Arbol, a fun little chili pepper with just the right kick, to take you beyond the old-time familiar flavor to a new "Sweet, Hot, & Salty" combo that Dads, Uncles, Brothers-in-Law, and the other men in your life will be delighted with. Not that this beer brittle is a man-only snack, I guess that's just the stereotype, but we have some lovely ladies here at Allyson's Kitchen that are happy to open a bag of either the Regular or Firey Beer Brittle to sample out to customers, and never without a taste test or two for themselves first!

So don't take my word for it, and don't take The Food Network's word either - you'll have to try this tasty snack out for yourself. We are happy to provide direct shipping through our online store, and you can find more information about Anette's Chocolates at their official website.
